The Hands Free Team .

A full range of expertise is available to Hands Free Management clients. Whilst Clive Rowe-Evans and John Gallery are lead directors, colleagues are available to support each contract and the necessary acccounting and legal expertise is also part of the Hands Free Management service. Here is a brief resume of the key team members.

Clive Rowe-Evans

Clive achieved an honours degree in Hotel Management and became the youngest hotel manager in the country. He went on to run hotels for TrustHousesForte and Thistle, before being appointed a director of a national leisure company which allowed him to develop catering facilities at Airports, arenas, theatres and banqueting halls at over one hundred centres throughout the UK. After operating his own hotel company for many years he joined his current company soon to become its managing director, a post he has held for ten years. 

 

John Gallery

John was a senior manager with Swallow Hotels for over 25 years, latterly as general manager of one of York's largest four star hotels. His consultancy, (est. 1999) supports independent and group-owned hotels, for meetings consortia and destinations providing sales, marketing, representation and pr and integrates online and offline marketing activities. Strong relationships in the conference buyer market, a supporter of the agency sector John is also co-founder of www.latemeetings.com recently sold to the UK’s largest hotel booking agency. He is a member of the Association for Conferences and Events, Meetings Industry Association, Meeting Professionals International, Institute for Hospitality, a Fellow of the Tourism Society and chairman of its Yorkshire Branch.

 

Jim Jervis

Over 30 years business experience, Jim started as a management trainee with Unilever and senior general management with Lex Services Group.  Jim set up his first company some 30 years ago building it into a multi million pound business provided him with a comprehensive range of business skills.  For the past 8 years he has been advising a diverse range of businesses, covering most industry sectors and key issues.   Jim also has specialised in Grant Support, achieving more than £2.5 million in grants for clients, including R&D, REIP, GBI, SIS, BDF and others.Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and diagnostic abilities, able to look at issues from a number of perspectives and help identify solutions. 

 

Ralph McMullen LLB

A solicitor since 1994 Ralph specialises in litigation and contractual matters. Previously a partner in a large practice he now runs his own York-based practice at York Eco Business Centre. Readily available for Hands Free Management client advice, contract law and commercial contracts.

 

Stephen Watson

tephen Watson is one of two partners and up to 40 staff at Moore Stephens Accountants who provide a depth and breadth of service, from hands on help with developing bookkeeping, management information, systems and the like by undertaking the work directly or setting up systems for clients to operate independently or giving periodic supervision of management information and key performance indicators.  Tax planning, accounting work and audit are also part of the services and a keen and experienced interest in strategic tax planning and added value client support.

 

Ali Bell, Gekko Design

Ali’s career started in the financial sector where he soon graduated to marketing manager of a national insurer. Realising that his love was more with the design element of his work, he moved from the client side to supplier when in 2006 he set up Gekko Creative Ltd, offering bespoke design and print services to a wide range of companies across the UK, particularly in the hospitality industry.
